Description: Max. Grant Amount: US$ 7,000
The ACT Project will focus on human rights education activities addressing discrimination, concerning in particular participation of young women and men in public life. Other issues may also be considered if relevant to local needs. The project proposals should be as innovative as possible, replicable and designed to provide maximum sustainable impact at the local level. Applications taking into account equal participation of young women and men, inclusion of young men and women from minority communities, rural communities or other vulnerable groups (e.g. young men and women with disabilities), is particularly encouraged.
Size of grants:
The ACT Project will award three grants of up to US$ 7,000. The overall project budget can be higher if funds are available from other sources. Project activities have to be carried out within six months and end no later than March 2013.
Eligibility:
Applications will be accepted from non-governmental organizations, local associations, academic institutions and other civil society organizations carrying out human rights education activities within local communities. Organizations which have received an ACT grant in the past are eligible provided that no open issues or concerns remain regarding the previous grant.
