Background:
Agriculture plays a significant role in the Prespa region in terms of employment and economic sustainability. Over 60% of the local population in Resen and the surrounding villages depends on agricultural activities, mainly apple production.
In order to facilitate the operationalization and management of both systems, as well as, to ensure that all relevant target audiences, understand and are aware of the benefits of using the solid waste management systems in the selected region of Prespa UNDP is seeking for a NGO which will develop and conduct a tailored community outreach programme.
Objectives:
The main objective of the assignment is to developed and implement six months targeted community outreach programme in the Prespa region that will ultimately contribute to decreased human pressure on the Prespa watershed. The task shell be carried out in two phases which should be mindful of the seasonal aspects of annual waste generation cycles. While the major quantities of pesticide packaging are mainly generated in the period April – September, the waste apples are generated December, with the peak around March – May.
Qualification and Experience:
Applicant’s / NGO’s requirements:
- the proposal shall include documents defining the constitution or legal status, place of registration,
and principal place of operation of the NGO;
- the proposal shall include the NGO profile (short description of previous experience);
- the proposal shall include reference list of similar assignments and evidence of at least three (3)
assignments of a nature and complexity comparable to this requirement expressed in MKD
(including name/contact details of clients who can be contacted for reference);
- the proposal shall provide evidence of its professional and technical capacity i.e. availability of at least two (2)
members with appropriate experience in execution similar tasks (conduct surveys, conducted Promotion campaigns,
experience in statistical modeling, marketing PR etc.)
Qualification of the Project Manager:
- the Team Leader shall have minimum University degree in marketing, finance, economy, business administration, public administration
shall be considered strong asset (public relations, journalism…?)
- Professional experience: at least 4 years of professional experience in conducting and analyzing surveys, conducting promotion campaigns,
experience in statistical modeling, marketing, public relations;
- prove to have participate to at least two similar assignments.
