Objectives:                                                                                              
  Total buget of the call: EUR 600.000

The overall objective of this call is to encourage and enable more European enterprises of the respective business sector across the EU to take a strategic approach to corporate social responsibility in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

The specific objectives of this initiative are to:

   - provide an opportunity for enterprises and other stakeholders to identify and discuss constructively the current and future CSR-related
     challenges facing individual business sectors;
   - facilitate the adoption of sector wide joint commitments to address those challenges, and of monitoring tools to evaluate progress;
   - encourage a much larger number of enterprises to take a strategic approach to social responsibility in close cooperation with their
     stakeholders;
   - give greater visibility to the CSR activities of enterprises.

The grants will be to organisations to build up, support and coordinate a multistakeholder CSR platform in a relevant business sector.

Possible activities and outputs could include:

   - Identify main challenges of respective business sector
   - Develop solution strategies
   - Support and consultation
   - Publicly available set of commitments by enterprises and stakeholders
   - Monitoring tools for joint evaluation of progress

Funding

The maximum budget allocated from the CIP financing decision C(2012)2916 adopted on 2/05/2012 for this call for proposals is € 600.000.

Applications from legal entities established in one of the following countries are eligible:

   (1) EU Member States
   (2) European Free Trade Association countries (EFTA) which are members of the European Economic Area (EEA) in accordance with the
        conditions laid down in the EEA Agreement: Norway, Iceland,Liechtenstein
   (3) Candidate countries: Croatia, Macedonia, Turkey
   (4) Other countries:
          - countries from the Western Balkans, in accordance with the provisions to be determined with those countries following the
            establishment of Framework Agreements concerning their participation in Community programmes: Albania, Montenegro and Serbia;
          - third countries, when agreements and procedures so allow: Israel.

The participation of partners from other countries is allowed, but it will not be considered as concurring to the eligible costs.

1. Applicants may act individually or in consortium with partner organisations. In the submission set, you will find two different types of
    grant agreement for reference.
2. Partners of the lead organisation must satisfy the same eligibility criteria as those for applicants; the applicant will be the coordinator.
3. Applications must be submitted by a legal person.
4. Applicants (lead organisation and any partner organisations) must correspond to the definition of the following target organisations :
        - Sector-based employers’/ business organisation or business network
        - Individual private or public company
        - Trade union
        - Non-governmental organisation
        - Public authority
        - Academic or educational/training institution
5. Corporate bodies must be properly constituted and registered under the law. If a body or organisation is not constituted under the law, a
    physical person must be designated to provide the legal responsibility.
