Background
“Creativity in Activity”- How Active Young Citizens Can Increase Ability of Intercultural Dialogue in Managing NGOs is international 8 days training [December 14-21st 2011 (excluding travel days)] course which will be organized in Serbia in December 2011 for 30 young people aged 18-25 with a goal to insure the development of partner organizations’ leaders and activists, and their capacity for networking and developing strong platforms of youth participation in their communities as well as to develop future youth exchanges and other youth actions together.
Objectives of the training course
- to increase an understanding of how youth organizations function and how individuals can enhance organizations’ participation by
enhancing their creativeness and innovativeness on the basis of intercultural and non-formal learning,
- to improve participants knowledge of the tools for developing organizations and bringing them to the higher value (quality, number of
people involved, etc.)
- to offer young leaders opportunity to improve their creativity, abilities and knowledge in the fields such as coaching, counseling and
mentoring, team work and facilitation skills, Conflict management, Leadership skills, Public relations, Fundraising and Financial
management,
- to provide space for young leaders to exchange their creative ideas and experience in managing and/or leading their organization
and/or groups for developing various projects.
The working language of the training will be English.
Eligibility
This Training course is open to 30 youth workers and youth leaders from Cyprus, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic of, Malta, Turkey, Serbia, Montenegro.
Priority will be given to candidates that fullfil the following criteria:
- Youth leaders and/or volunteers very motivated to act in their sending organization;
- Between 18 and 30 years old;
- Have an interest and experience in the topic;
- Willing to learn & motivated to share experience with other participants;
- Are able to work in English;
- Are committed to attend to the full duration of the seminar;
- Are supported by their organization;
(Gender balance, group diversity in terms of different social and cultural backgrounds will be taken into consideration)
Costs
70% of travel costs (cheapest way) are covered. Participants are paying participation fee 30 EUR.
