Contract description: Maximum budget: EUR 1.000.000
The project will support AMSCA in its capacity building efforts by strengthening its administrative, policy making and legal drafting capacities so as to enhance its efforts in combating crime, in particular financial and economic crime and corruption. Hence, it will enable Kosovo authorities to enforce confiscation of unlawfully gained assets and to manage these assets in a proper manner.
With the creation of AMSCA, Kosovo is continuing its efforts in fighting against organised crime. Taking into account that AMSCA is a new institution, there is an immediate need to develop its administrative, policy making and legal drafting capacities in order to make the institution fully fledged.
The project is expected to develop the organisational structure of the AMSCA through the development of internal administrative and procedural rules, including substantial support in the development of standardised coordination and cooperation mechanisms with judicial and law enforcement institutions as well as to develop mechanisms for information and experience exchange between relevant institutions/agencies. In short, the project will assist AMSCA with their institutional set-up and external dealings.
