Description
Tribal Education, as part of a consortium with TechEd Consulting Services (Croatia) and Educluster Finland have been shortlisted for the Development of National Information System for Science and Higher Education in Croatia.
The overall objective of the project is to develop a national information collection and analysis system in Higher Education and Science in Croatia. With specific purposes of this contract including:
- Development of software for the national information system for data collection and analysis in higher education in Croatia
- Development of capacity for use of the national information system
The intended commencement date is February 2013

Qualifications and skills
- A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies in Information Science or Computer Science of at least three
years' duration attested by a diploma,
- Fluency in written and spoken English language.
General professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience in implementing complex information systems (applied in different areas, connecting databases of various
formats and structures, complex reports produced from the data warehouse in which data are categorized, processed and re-structured
with a common coding system),
- At least 2 years of experience in software development of complex information systems (applied in different areas, connecting databases
of various formats and structures, complex reports produced from the data warehouse in which data are categorized, processed and
re-structured with a common coding system).
Specific professional experience
- Experience in working with at least one of the three following operating systems – Linux, Solaris, Microsoft Windows Server; and at least
one of the three following database management systems - MySQL, IBM Informix, MS SQL Server,
- At least 1 year of experience in developing national or regional databases in the field of higher education,
- Experience in implementing complex information systems (applied in different areas, connecting databases of various formats and
structures, complex reports produced from the data warehouse in which data are categorized, processed and re-structured with a
common coding system) in higher education and/or science would be an asset.
Minimum scope of responsibilities:
Co-ordination and implementation, in cooperation with Key expert 3, of Component 1 (with particular responsibility for development and implementation of the NISSHE components) as defined in these Terms of Reference.
