TRIBAL/DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION/KEY EXPERT 1: TEAM LEADER

Description

Tribal Education, as part of a consortium with TechEd Consulting Services (Croatia) and Educluster Finland have been shortlisted for the Development of National Information System for Science and Higher Education in Croatia.

The overall objective of the project is to develop a national information collection and analysis system in Higher Education and Science in Croatia. With specific purposes of this contract including:

     - Development of software for the national information system for data collection and analysis in higher education in Croatia
     - Development of capacity for use of the national information system

The intended commencement date is February 2013

Key expert 1: Team Leader

Qualifications and skills

      - A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies in Information Science (or a related field i.e. Computer Science,
        Information Engineering) of at least three years' duration attested by a diploma,
      - Fluency in written and spoken English language,
      - Knowledge of Croatian language would be an asset.

 General professional experience

      - At least 3 years of work experience as a professor on higher education institution in field of Information Science (or a related field i.e.
       Computer Science, Information Engineering),
     - At least 2 years of experience at a senior position (i.e. team leader) in management of international projects,

Specific professional experience

      - Experience in providing training on the implementation of the Bologna reform (e.g. training on implementation of the ECTS, quality
        assurance in HE, curricular reform),
      - Experience in implementation of information systems in higher education and/or science
      - Experience in working with the Croatian higher education system after 2005 would be an asset.

Minimum scope of responsibilities:

Overall project management (producing project reports etc.); liaison with relevant project stakeholders; co-ordination and implementation of the Component 3 (with particular responsibility for making NISSHE available to users and training them in using it) as defined in these Terms of Reference and its integration with Components 1 and 2; ensuring effective co-ordination of all three Components of the project.
