The global objective of this Call for proposals is to promote freedom of expression and independent media as a pillar for the development of a democratic society in Kosovo.
The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is to increase the quality of print and broadcast in Kosovo through the development of independent, investigative and publicity beneficial journalism.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must be for the following amount:
- maximum amount: EUR 603.000
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
- be legal persons
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, public or private media operators, local authorities,
international (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation and
be established in a Member State of the European Union and Member States of the European Economic Area (i.e. Iceland, Liechtenstein
and Norway), or a country under the IPA regulation
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an
intermediary
- be an organisation or in a consortium of organisations with a minimum of 3 years' experience in training and capacity building in the field
of media or be an organisation or business working in the field of media (print media, radio, TV, online, etc.)
