VGM PARTNERS LTD/PREPARATION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR SUPPLY OF EQUIPMENT FOR NATURE AND WATER MONITORING AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS/SENIOR EXPERT ON WATER MONITORING

Global objective: The global objective of the project is to strengthen the administrative capacities for conservation and monitoring of biodiversity and natural heritage and water management.

Specific objective: The specific objective of this assignment is to assist the Beneficiary institution with the preparation of tender documentation for supply of equipment for biodiversity monitoring system and equipment for information and monitoring system for water management, in line with the Practical Guide to contract procedures for EU External Actions (PRAG).

Qualifications and skills

    - At least Bachelor degree in the field of Natural Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, or minimum 15 years of general
      professional experience in the environment sector;
    - Fluency in English.

General professional experience

    - At least 10 years of experience in the environment sector.

Specific professional experience

    - Minimum 3 years of experience in the field of water management;
    - Experience in at least two projects as an expert in development of technical specifications for water monitoring and information system
      governed by the PRAG rules, or by the national procurement rules of the EU Member states, or by the national procurement rules of the
      Member states of the European Economic Area, compliant with the requirements of the acquis.

Staring period:  August 2012

Duration: 34 w/d
