Role Overview

An Analyst is required to work in a role dedicated to the Local Enterprise Facility (LEF); an equity-driven facility established by the Bank to meet the growing financing needs of dynamic local enterprises in the Western Balkans, Croatia and Turkey.
The role will be based in Pristina RO and will have a dual reporting line to the Director, Western Balkans and Head of Pristina RO.
 
This is a fixed term contract for 2 years.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

The Analyst role is to provide support to the project preparation process under direct and continuous supervision from Operation Leaders. Under supervision of the more senior team members to provide support to project preparation and monitoring process. This will include:

   - Market and financial analysis of institutions and projects, preparing financial models and financial projections, modelling cash flow.
   - Research, analyse and provide background information into companies, sectors, market trends, legal developments. Analyse financial
     statements and project information.
   - Ensure monitoring of investments, in compliance with the Bank's requirements for the Facility.
   - Maintain contacts with client companies, continuous follow-up of implementation and performance of investments/projects.
   - Compile monitoring reports.
   - Provide administrative and analytical support in specific areas of project generation, monitoring, preparation of monitoring reports as
     required.
   - Attend meetings with clients with more senior bankers, write client call reports.

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications

    - Good relevant degree from a leading university in the country of education.
    - Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in the financial sector working with banks and/or non-bank financial institutions
    - Credit analysis skills: ability to interpret accounts, understanding accounting principles and practice of credit analysis
    - Proven analytical skills demonstrated in previous employment or in degree course work
    - Financial analysis skills: ability to design financial models; identify, understand and help solve complex issues
    - Accountancy skills: ability to interpret accounts, understanding of accounting principles.
    - Knowledge of regional economic and business environment.
    - Excellent written (report writing, correspondence) and oral communication skills in English and Albanian & Serbian.
    - Computer literacy: conversant with MS Word; advanced MS Excel working level for financial modelling purposes.
