Background:
Ttile: Project Associate within National Coordinator’s Office responsible for the implementation of the Kosovo Programme against Domestic Violence and Action Plan 2011-2014.
WSSI having the overarching objective to progressively and demonstrably improve the security environment for women and girls in Kosovo. The subsequent phase of the Women’s Safety and Security Initiative (WSSI Plus), launched in 2009 in partnership with relevant national institutions, seeks to address the Violence against Women (VAW) and Trafficking in Human Beings (THB) challenges in Kosovo. WSSI during its first phase approached gender-based violence from a security perspective, aiming to change the political climate in Kosovo towards acknowledging VAW and THB and placing these issues high on the political agenda through constant advocacy efforts.
Functional Competencies:
• Ability to support the design, planning and implementation of data management, monitoring, coordination, and reporting exercises;
• Ability to design and manage evaluation and monitoring processes and systems, including with multiple stakeholders;
• Ability to collect and manage large quantities of information through use of appropriate data bases systems
• Good knowledge of organizational policies and procedures related to the position and ability to apply them consistently in work tasks;
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
• Cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability;
• Ability to establish effective working relations in a multicultural team environment;
• Learning and sharing knowledge and encouraging the learning of others;
Required Skills and Experience:
Education:
• Secondary education with specialized/specific trainings in HR, finance, or business administration required.
• University Degree in social science, law, public administration, business, or a related field will be a distinct advantage.
Experience:
• Min 6 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in project implementation, monitoring, finance and administration,
or policy development
• Experience in handling of web based management systems
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance knowledge of spreadsheet and
database packages
Language Requirements:
• Fluency in both oral and written English, Albanian and/or Serbian. Knowledge of both national languages is a distinct advantage.
Expected Duration of Assignment :12 months
