OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ COMMUNITIES PROTECTION OFFICER (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01386)

Requirements

   - University education in political sciences, international relations, public policy, law, international human rights law or other human rights
     related fields
   - Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience including minimum 1 year in a relevant field
   - Experience in analyzing information from the field and producing analytical reports
   - Professional fluency in the English language

Responsibilities

   - Analyzes the findings of the Mission's monitoring of Kosovo's institutions and municipalities from a communities protection perspective
    including returns, and together with Senior Communities Protection Advisers provides the Department with advice and recommendations
   - Contributes to the formulation of protection planning by proposing to the Department directives and plans for immediate and long range
     solutions; follows up on the implementation of recommendations and decisions adopted
   - Reviews and comments on proposed Kosovo institutions' initiatives, and together with the Senior Communities Protection Advisers follows
     up on the implementation of the Council of Europe's Framework Convention on the Protection of National Minorities.
