UNDP KOSOVO/ NATIONAL HANDICRAFT TRAINER

Background

Under the “Biodiversity Conversation and Sustainable land use management” Project in Dragash, UNDP is implementing a 3 year project aiming at establishment of institutional framework to enable sustainable development. The four areas of intervention of this project are a) development of a framework for conservation of biodiversity & sustainable land use planning, b) local economic development, c) development of a local sustainable energy strategy and d) the development of capacities to ensure the above mentioned framework can be sustained in time.

Responsibilities

The Objective of this assignment is to provide training during 4 months to selected candidates to use their skills to produce a certain number of specially identified local products and with aim of  business development
 
Requirements

   - Minimum 5 years of experience in training on sewing, bed work, crafts, textile, clothing, embroidery
   - Portfolio with pictures of best products produced in last 5 years (to be brought in the interview if shortlisted)
   - Ability to speak Albanian and Serbian and prior experience in the region will be considered in the evaluation of offerors
   - Duration of Initial Contract: 4 months
