UNIFEM SERBIA/ UN WOMEN PROJECT OFFICER (PART-TIME 50%)

Background

UNCT Joint Project on Integrated Response to Violence against Women in Serbia was formulated by three UN agencies (UNDP, UN Women and UNICEF), under the overall leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator, through an inclusive and participatory process. The project is financially supported through a grant of the UN Trust Fund in Support of Actions to Eliminate Violence against Women and it will be implemented in the period November 2012 – December 2014.

Responsibilities

   - Ensure the achievement of results under the UNCT Joint Project on Integrated Response to VaW in Serbia for which UN Women is directly
     responsible and contribute to country Outcomes under UN Women Strategic Note and Work Plan 2012-2013
   - Provide technical assistance to UN Women implementing partner PSEEGE
   - Maintain regular communication and coordination with the UNCT project team for implementation of the Joint Project on Integrated
     Response to VaW

Requirements

   - Master’s degree in gender studies, social science, public policy, or in another relevant field
   - A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience with focus on promoting gender equality, advancing women’s human rights and
     ending VaW
   - Fluency in written and oral Serbian and English;

Duration of Initial Contract: 1 year
