USAID MACEDONIA/ GRANTS FOR JOINT ACTIONS OF CSOS

The Foundation Open Society – Macedonia (FOSM), as part of the USAID Civil Society Project (CSP), announces the second Request for Applications for awarding grants to Civil Society Organizations (CSOs). CSP supports civil society to promote democratic reforms. CSP is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
FOSM announces this Request for Applications to support jointly-developed CSO actions, partnerships or networks that animate civil society actors to provide solidarity and come together around a specific issue through Grants for Joint Actions of CSOs (grants of up to US$ 15,000).

Objectives

Establishing networks and platforms for greater CSO mobilization, cooperation and solidarity.

Eligibility

This Request for Applications will support innovative and bold proposals that:
• directly support the objectives of the CSP;
• demonstrate a commitment to citizen outreach and inclusion, and effective strategies to engage or mobilize citizens;
• provide creative and effective strategies for accessing information and offering policy input;
• employ, when appropriate, strategic use of media in promoting objectives;
• promote an integrative approach with special focus on ethnicity and gender;
• tackle difficult reform issues.

Grant amount

With this Request for Applications, a minimum of four grants of up to $15,000 may be awarded.
All projects must be completed no later than 10 months after the grant agreement has been signed.
