AMMUNITION TECHNICAL OFFICER

Requirements

- Advanced university degree in Military or Social Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or
  International Relations and 3 years of relevant experience or University Degree with 5 years of
  relevant experience.
- Formal technical education, to international best practices;
- Experience in working directly with projects and programs related to ammunition
  demilitarization, explosive ordnance destruction or logistic ammunition management.
- Excellent command of English, including writing skills;
- Excellent communication skills in local languages.

Responsibilities

- Facilitate a part of the project within the areas related to the SALW and ammunition destruction
  assigned by the Project Manager, focusing on quality control, from formulation to
  implementation;
- Provide support and technical expertise to national stakeholders in enhancement of  Bosnia and
  Herzegovina’s capacity for SALW and ammunition disposal;
- Coordinate activities related to establishment of sustainable monitoring  and verification of the
  demilitarization process;
- Provide the quality policy advice and expert/technical knowledge opinion to the Project
  Manager;
- Provide support to Project Manager in effective mainstreaming of gender equality within the
  ammunition destruction component of the Project.


Duration of Initial Contract :  Six months with possibility of extension
