Description:
The Democracy Commission Small Grants Program supports initiatives of the Albanian non-governmental, non-partisan organizations, which influence the development of democratic civil society in Albania. This category includes but is not limited to projects which aim at strengthening rule of law and democracy, respect for human rights, economic reform, civic education, participatory governance, environmental projects, the strengthening of the NGO sector, the reconciliation of disputes, and better journalism.
Eligibility:
Those Albanian non-governmental organizations with no affiliation to religious or political parties are eligible to apply.
What is the budget limit for one application?
The amount for an individual grant is 24,000 USD. The project proposal must include a detailed, itemized budget for all costs and activities.
