Description:
The Edos Foundation in the Netherlands is organizing a workshop on recognition of non-formal
learning in volunteering in collaboration with the Grundtvig programme, part of the Life Long
Learning Programme of the European Union. The aim of the foundation is to stimulate and facilitate
the personal and professional development of adults who are working as volunteer in welfare work as well as in other kinds of voluntary work. The staff members of EDOS foundation have a wide
experience in international projects, conferences, and workshops.
The seminar will be held on 18 – 22 March 2013 in Huissen, Netherlands. The workshop is funded by the Grundtvig programme, and as such all costs of participation, including travel, board and lodging, will be reimbursed.
Eligibility:
Applicants should be:
- at least 18 years old
- Working as a volunteer in welfare or in other fields
- Able/willing to reflect on his own learning process
- Inhabitant of a country that participates in the LLLP
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, listening, speaking)
- Willing to communicate the workshop outcomes to the volunteering organization he’s involved in
- Willing to contribute to other ways of disseminating the workshop outcomes
