NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL CONSULTANT FOR IDENTIFICATION OF KEY STAKEHOLDERS AND DESIGN OF MEASUREMENT-REPORTING-VERIFICATION SYSTEM

Responsibilities:

   - Identification of key stakeholders in area of measurement of emissions, emissions
     inventories, national communications and all relevant facts for MRV system;
   - Design and develop well organized MRV system related to installation of 10 biomass
     boilers in project area including an action plan for its implementation and cost
     estimates.
   - Key stakeholders identified (Document in electronic format) - 2 weeks after signature
     of contracs
   - MRV system designed and developed (Documents in electronic format) - 4 weeks
     after signature of contract


Requirements:

   - University degree in the one of directly related field(s):  environmental sciences, civil engineering,
     forestry or other fields relevant for the task.
   - Master or PhD degree would be considered an asset.
   - At least five years of relevant experience in one or more of the key sector(s)/theme(s) related to
     tasks;
   - Good knowledge of actual issues of MRV- preparation of road maps and design of MRV systems
   - Previous experience/successful involvement in similar projects;
   - Knowledge and understanding of relevant UN and other International Conventions, especially Kyoto
     Protocol, Bali Action Plan, Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) or other relevant
     environmental protocols or conventions;
   - Good and proven experience in dealing with governments and local authorities;
   - Understanding of UNDP and GEF methodologies and practices would be considered an asset;
   - References and publications on issues and topics relevant for  tasks would be considered an asset;
   - Knowledge and understanding of the institutional setting in BiH would be considered an asset;
   - Excellent command of local languages
   - Excellent command of English language
