UNDP KOSOVO/ LOCAL EXPERT IN FINANCIAL LAW (INCLUSIVE FINANCE)

Requirements:

   - Masters or equivalent degree in Law, preferably with a focus on Banking and Finance Law.
   - Minimum five years of relevant experience in the provision of legal advice on financial
     services in Kosovo as part of private sector companies, public sector institutions or
     international organizations. Preference will be given especially to legal experts who have
     direct and substantial experiences with microfinance operations. Prior experience with
     Guarantee Funds is an asset.
   - Fluency in English and Albanian is a requirement.
 
Responsibilities:

   - Review the current legal framework for non-bank financial institutions.
   - Provide Legal Advice to UNDP on the legal status of the Micro Credit Guarantee Fund in
     Kosovo (MCGFK).
   - Draft the registration documents for the MCGFK  and assist during the registration /
     certification process with the Ministry of Public Administration and the Kosovo Central
     Bank.
   - In cooperation with other UNDP consultants working on the initiative, draft and deliver a
     presentation on the Guarantee Fund’s legal framework for the potential funding members/
     donors of the MCGFK.
