OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ CHIEF OF SECURITY MONITORING SECTION (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01419)

Responsibilities

   - Develops and implements central and regional OSCE policies on security related matters in co-operation with the relevant security actors
   - Supervises 17 staff of the Security Monitoring Section, including international and local staff members
   - Reviews and analyses proposed legislation and applicable security and procedural law in light of human rights instruments
   - Conducts activities for the promotion and protection of security rights
   - Designs and co-ordinates human rights monitoring programmes and tasks
   - Conducts activities aimed at implementing recommendations and programmes with security forces

Requirements

   - University education in political sciences, international relations, public policy, law, international human rights law or other human rights
     related fields
   - Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the
     management level relevant to the actual position
   - Professional fluency in the English language
