Requirements

   - University education in political sciences, international relations, public policy, law, international human rights law or other human rights
     related fields
   - Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience including minimum 1 year in a relevant field strongly preferred
   - Professional fluency in the English language

Responsibilities

   - Pro-actively monitors and builds the capacities of municipal institutions, assesses/evaluates developments in the fields of human and
     community rights and democratization accompanied by remedial action when appropriate
   - Regularly meets local counterparts to exchange and gather information on human rights and good governance issues, assesses and
     reports on developments, successes and concerns regarding compliance with human rights standards and good governance principles
   - Co-operates and co-ordinates work with colleagues in Field Teams and the Regional Centre as well as programmatic sections in
     Headquarters
   - Is responsible to identify key human rights and good governance related issues in the incumbent's area of responsibility and were deemed
     necessary follows up with analytical reporting, including recommendations to the Regional Centre Senior management, developing and
     implementing projects on regional level, and evaluating impact and achievements
