UNDP/ RECONSTRUCTION OF A KINDERGARTEN SRNICKA- KALINKA, MUNICIPALTIY OF AERODROM, SKOPJE (EXTENDED DEADLINE)

Background

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) assists the Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning to implement the project “Mitigating climate change through improving energy efficiency in building sector”. As part of the project activities one demonstration building shall be renovated with comprehensive energy efficiency and energy saving measures in one selected public building implemented.  The object kindergarten Kalinka - Srnicka in Municipality of Aerodrom was selected in open call. Total floor area of the kindergarten is 794 m2 and year of construction is 1963. The Municipality of Aerodrom is co-financing this activity. The demonstration project will serve as a practical example of the benefits of energy efficiency measures and the results will be shared widely with the key stakeholders (experts, national authorities, donors).

Duties and responsibilities

The Contractor shall execute and complete the Works and remedy any defects therein in strict accordance with the Contract, with due care and diligence and to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and shall provide all labor, including the supervision thereof, materials, Constructional Plant and all other things, whether of a temporary or permanent nature, required in and for such execution, completion and remedying of defects, as far as the necessity for providing the same is specified in or is reasonably to be inferred from the Contract. The Contractor shall comply with and adhere strictly to the Engineer's instructions and directions on any matter, touching or concerning the Works.

Eligibility and qualifications

     - Copies of original documents defining the constitution or legal status, place of registration, and principal place of business;
     - For companies registered/based in the host country: Copy of License B for construction of 2nd  category buildings issued by the
       Ministry of Transport and Communication and for international companies: international companies are allowed to execute
       construction works in Macedonia, provided that they present a permit/confirmation for execution of civil works obtained from the
       State Authority for Urban Planning in Macedonia
     - Reference list of similar projects and evidence of at least 2 (two) projects of a nature and complexity comparable to this
       requirements of this ITB expressed in MKD  and indicating the year of execution - Financial statement issued by the Central Registry
       or balance sheets officially certified by an authorized auditor if  applicable,/  for the last three years of operation (2008, 2009 and
       2010) showing minimum annual turnover equivalent to three times the value of the financial offer of this bid.
     - Qualifications and experience of the key personnel proposed for this assignment

Payment

The Contractor is entitle to advance payment of up to 20% of Contract value to be made upon signature of the contract by both parties contingent upon receipt and acceptance by UNDP of a bank guarantee for the full amount of  the advance payment issued by a Bank and in a form acceptable to UNDP.
