Background
BEST, Board of European Students of Technology, is a non profit student organisation. It is run by students, working for students. BEST organises different activities where students from member universities get the opportunity to increase their international experience, establish contacts, improve their English and have fun. Each BEST Course is attended by 20-30 students of engineering.
Topics of the learning events cover mainly different technology fields, economics, marketing and management.At the end of the course students take an exam, which is designed to test the results of the course and evaluate the participants' success. An increasing number of courses are recognised by many universities and students attending these courses can get credit from their home universities.
Organisation
The organising local BEST group takes care of accommodation and subsistence during the entire event, transportation to lectures and all activities related to the contents of the event, teaching and material costs and social activities.Depending on the situation of the local BEST group, there might be a participation fee: the maximum fee is 4 Euro per day (but no more than 45 EUR in total) for students from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway,students from Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden pay 2/3 of the fee.students from Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Iceland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey pay 1/3 of the fee.students from Macedonia , Moldova, Russian Republic, Serbia , and Ukraine pay no fee.

- Students from universities belonging to partner organisations
How to apply
The organising local BEST group receives the applications, and makes a selection on regional aspects, the motivation letter and on the educational background of the applicant.The organisers also aim at having equal number of male and female participants.
Applications will be accepted from 17 February 2013 at 23 CET.
Deadline: 17 March 2013 at 23:00 CET (for events between 1 June and 7 September 2013).
