Purpose

The purpose of the position is to ensures the implementation and administration of UNDP/SEESAC projects under the overall guidance of UNDP/SEESAC Coordinator.

Objective

The objective of this position is to ensure results oriented, effective, efficient and accountable implementation of the project activities and achievement of project results.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:
Minimum Masters or equivalent  degree in technical studies or other relevant area.

Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in international/multilateral development context;
- Experience in partnership building at international, national, regional and local level;
- The following specific experiences will be considered as an asset: experience working in the UN system or other international organizations;
  experience in supporting the implementation of regional projects in the field of SALW Control, Gender and SSR and/or Disaster Risk
  Reduction in South East Europe;
- Practical knowledge and expertise in preparation of working arrangements and maintaining successful relations with national counterparts
  in the fields mentioned above.
- Experience in procuring goods and services/works in line with UNDP rules and regulations
- Experience in budgets development and management

Knowledge:
- Knowledge of SALW Control, Security Sector Reform, Gender Mainstreaming, Armed Violence Prevention, and Disaster Risk Reduction
  frameworks;
- Excellent understanding of the political and economic situation in the Western Balkans;
- Knowledge of UNDP rules and procedures would be an asset; in particular finance, procurement, administrative;
- Knowledge in the use of computers and office software packages and handling of web based management systems.

Language:
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken Serbian and English. Knowledge of other SEE languages a clear asset
