Background
Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.
Global Communitiesis seeking Senior Technical Specialists who have worked with youth in a variety of sectors and regions for an upcoming USAID IQC to improve the ability of youth to successfully navigate transitions to adults within the sectors of health, education, civic participation and employment.
Eligibility
- At least 5 years of progressive management experience in the international development field on USG-funded programs; experience
managing large teams and complex projects.
- Substantial technical expertise in youth-focused development programming, including capacity building for youth organizations and
institutions.
- Master’s degree in international development or other relevant field preferred (focus on youth development, community development,
and/or organizational/institutional development a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and work on a multi-national and multi-partner teams.
- Demonstrated technical assistance and training experience in two or more of the specialized below are needed:
- Youth-led Development / Leadership
- Youth Livelihoods / Employment
- Employment and Entrepreneurship
- Youth-inclusive Financial Services
- Civil Society / Civic Engagement
- Public Health
- Youth Leadership
- Conflict Mitigation
- Education / TVET
- Research, Monitoring and Evaluation
- Ability to establish strong working relationships with local partners and stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent ability to represent the CHF International to local and national civil society, governmental, media and private sector
organizations.
- Fluency in English required; fluency in a second language highly desired.
