Background


Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide
to bring about sustainable change that improves the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable.
Global Communities is seeking Chief of Party (COP) candidates for anticipated Training and Vocational Education Training (TVET) / Workforce Development projects and IQCs worldwide.  These programs will focus on building the capacity of technical and vocational education and training institutions; workforce policy development, curriculum development, apprentice programs, entrepreneurship; economic development; and linkages to workforce development and job creation.
The Chief of Party will provide overall leadership and technical direction for the project; oversee planning, implementation and management of the project; provide all management of project office(s), activities and operations; serve as key liaison with the donor, the host government, and implementing partners; and ensure the completion of contractual deliverables.


Eligibility

- Master’s degree in education, international development, economics or related field.
- 5+ years Chief of Party or equivalent experience on large-scale, multi-year donor-funded projects, USAID preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of program design, management, and project monitoring tools.
- At least 7 years of proven experience implementing workforce development and technical and vocational education and training (TVET)
  initiatives; prior experience in capacity building of local institutions; public-private partnerships; labor market information systems, industry
  competitiveness and developing national qualifications standards preferred. 
- Previous relevant experience in the developing country context.
- Fluency in written and spoken English required; second language preferred.
- Experience as key project liaison with USAID and multiple partner institutions at the regional and national levels.
- Ability to lead teams in capacity building and institutional strengthening.
