Key expert 5: Web Editor

The web editor shall be responsible for the technical implementation and maintenance of the platform within the existing Drupal environment and for liaising with the technical team in DIGIT at the European Commission.

- (S)he shall contribute to analyzing and defining user requirements and ensuring an ergonomic and accessible user experience in line with
  the relevant industry standards.
- (S)he shall collaborate with the project leader and other experts to create project scopes, time lines, and road maps. 
- (S)he shall be responsible for the management of user access and coordinate/supervise the helpdesk staff to support users of the site.


Eligibility

- Sound knowledge of high-level development on the Drupal platform, in-depth knowledge of the Drupal framework and modules.
- In-depth knowledge of W3C Standards on web design and applications in particular with respect to WAI and WCAG compliance.
- Strong PHP, JavaScript, CSS, XML and HTML skills.
- Ability with Solr search engine and with supporting mobile platforms including iOS, Android, and mobile web browsers. 
- Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand functional needs and implement them in an existing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with various levels of technical experience and to convey complex technical information to both
  technical and non-technical staff at all levels.
- At least three years of proven experience in managing and leading web development projects.
- At least five years of proven experience in web development over the entire development process including requirements gathering and
  analysis, design, selection of tools and technologies, release and version control, testing methodologies and deployment management.
