Background
The project Support to implementation of the Strategy for the Integration of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo aims to help some of the most vulnerable communities in Kosovo fulfil their rights in a number of areas. Using the Action Plan of the Strategy for the Integration of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities (2009-2015) as a frame of reference, and picking up on the policy research and advocacy undertaken by the Communities Section in 2012, the project will combine work at central and local levels with a view to creating sustainable mechanisms and resources for communities protection.
Eligibility
Education
- University degree in human rights, political science, social science, law, or other relevant subject.
Work Experience
- Minimum four years of experience in training on advocacy;
- Experience developing training packages for civil society;
- Experience in training civil society organizations on minority-related issues;
- Relevant experience working with UN agencies, international organizations and NGOs;
- Experience working on advocacy for national policy plans and commitments and with central government institutions;
- Experience of work in Kosovo and on issues concerning Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities (preferable).
Key Competencies
- English (advanced level written and spoken);
- Albanian and Serbian languages (preferable);
- Sound knowledge of advocacy and policy processes;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent training and facilitation skills.
