Eligibility
- Completed secondary education supplemented by formal studies in administration or media/public information
- Minimum of four years of work experience with media organizations, international agencies including experience with international media
structures. Project management experience including administrative/financial skills;
- Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft packages
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and in local languages. A working knowledge of another OSCE working
language would be an asset
- Ability to work with colleagues from varied ethnic backgrounds;
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
Tasks and responsibilities
- Participates in concept and design of project activities, develops and implements team projects, taking overall responsibility for those
projects assigned to him/her by Chief of Media Section;
- Ensures that the projects are successfully implemented in accordance with its objectives throughout the project cycle, including designing
action plans, budgets estimates, implementation plans, final reports and evaluation;
- Engages actively (meets, communicates) with the target groups / beneficiaries / interlocutors in order to build key support for team
activities; translates all communication upon request to the team. Prepares spot and analytical reports after important event related to the
work of the Section;
- Establishes working relations and contacts with international partners, donor organizations, and maintains professional relationships with
the media Kosovo. Liaises with other locally based media, including non-Albania media, development organizations and keeps regular
contacts with the Independent Media Commission, the Public Broadcaster, the Press Council of Kosovo and journalists’ associations.
- In co-operation with OSCE Budget Administration Office, seeks advance payments for projects and collects proper documentation (receipts,
participant lists, etc.) to clear advances, prepares necessary Request for Goods for supplies, or purchases. The incumbent collects cash
advances on her / his name and is held accountable for proper cash management and settlements;
- Prepares handouts and presentations for meetings, workshops, conferences, and conducts and chairs meetings with media representatives,
media advocates and researchers;
- Assists in the preparation of final reports and follow–up documentation for projects implemented;
- Arranges transport for team members or participants of team activities as requested.
- Organizes meetings, conferences, seminars, round table meetings, etc., ( booking premises, hotel rooms, transport, etc.) whenever required
also participates and prepares minutes/reports on those in order to inform colleagues and accompanies Programme Officers upon request;
- Maintains and updates contact lists, files, reports, correspondence and other material relevant to the work of the team. Maintains the
Section’s archiving systems in both hard and electronic copy and project financial records;
- Collects, reviews and sorts incoming mail, providing background files and information; dispatches outgoing mail, sends messages via
facsimile and electronic mail;
- Drafts correspondence in English on the basis of instruction received and/or on the basis of own knowledge of the work;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
