Background
The OSCE Mission in Kosovo was established by the OSCE Permanent Council on 1 July 1999. The Mission is responsible for institution- and democracy-building, and the promotion of human rights and the rule of law.
Eligibility
- Completed secondary education supplemented by formal studies in social science;
- Minimum four years of working experience with governmental or inter-governmental or Civil Society Organizations in record keeping,
editing, research of information and report writing. Computer literate with practical experience with Microsoft packages;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, and in local languages. knowledge of other regional languages as an asset;
- Gender sensitive and ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions and cultural backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Manages, reviews and ensures the quality of a portfolio of information and regular weekly information dissemination and reporting
obligations; compiles the departmental weekly report; liaises and co-operates with DD divisions/section/units to verify information and
screens submissions and ensures correct format and language standards of documents in line with established criteria.
- Supports the Chief of ARC in the preparation and co-ordination of special mission and ad-hoc reports and provides background information
and technical support to senior Management.
- Maintains records of incoming OMiK and external reports, and distributes them according to agreed mechanisms; Co-ordinates requests for
translation/interpretation to appropriate internal offices or provides translation and interpretation services whenever required
- Supports Chief of ARC in liaising with clearance units (Office of Political Affairs, Office of Legal Affairs, and Central Co-ordination Unit) and
maintaining a DD rolling list of reports and publications for DD follow-up.
- Acts as focal point for all Doc.In related matters and is responsible for co-coordinating and uploading DD files.
- Provides assistance to the Chief of ARC and DD Division/Section/Unit chiefs in the design of training packages and in the research of
information resources for the purposes of collating briefing papers and information materials for internal/external briefings.
- Acts as focal point for training of new Mission Members on Departmental policy regarding Information Management, including reporting
duties and structures and induction course.
- Performs any other duties as required.
