Background


The MDG-F Youth Employability and Retention Programme (YERP) is a programme supported  through the UN Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund funded by the Spanish  Government as a contribution to enhance the National ownership of the MDGs achievement, under  the UN Reform framework. Several UN agencies,  private sector and civil society  are jointly implementing the Programme with the main aim to improve the employability of BiH youth,  while providing new entry points to the labour market. Internal and external migration support will also  be developed to optimize the potential of migration as an individual employment-seeking strategy that  can alleviate local labour market pressures. In order to create preconditions for the provision of professional and effective assistance and services  to young unemployed, the Programme has developed Outcome 2 ‘Enhanced capacities of the Public  Employment Services and Civil Society to develop and deliver an integrated package of youth  employability measures’ and will be working with Public Employment Services (PES) in both BiH  entities and Brčko District in order to increase their capacities for the provision of assistance and  services.  

Qualifications/Requirements:

- At least 25 years of age
- University Degree or equivalent in Social Sciences (teaching, psychologists, social worker, etc.),  Economic Sciences and/or Human
  Resources
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience providing counselling or mentoring (one on one), provision of  trainings, hands-on experience in design,
  monitoring an and evaluation of employability measures for  young people, or other programming for young people.
- Experience working with community based organizations (CSOs) an advantage.
- Advanced computer skills
- Fluency in BiH languages (written and spoken). Fluency in English (written and spoken) would be an  asset.
