Duties and responsibilities
The person in this position will provide technical assistance and leadership as the Senior Technical Specialist – Private Public Dialogue.
S/he is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants,
collaborators, co-workers, field sites, and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues in compliance with EDC policies
& procedures. S/he will make a significant contribution to the achievement by the YES Network workforce development program
of all goals and objectives in the Annual Workplan and the Performance Monitoring Plan as these are defined by EDC and USAID.
These activities focus on developing and enhancing the capacities of municipalities, through enhancing PPD on a local level
and formation of Local Economic and Social Councils.
Requiered skills and experience
- Subject specific technical expertise relevant to the needs of public private partnership
development and formation of Socio-Economic Councils
- Proven management and team leadership skills
- Excellent liaison, planning, scheduling and supervisory skills
- Proficiency in Macedonian and English; Albanian language proficiency a plus
- Capacity to work in multiple, widely scattered work sites
- Experience working in international development projects preferred; on USAID funded projects a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years related experience or Master’s degree and 5–7 years related experience,
including a minimum of 5 years hands-on technical project implementation and supervision experience.
