Contract decription

According to the priorities for IPA support to the Republic of Serbia over the period covered by MIPD 2011-2013 the following target areas have been identified:strengthening the rule of law and public administration, overcoming the economic crisis and improving competitiveness and social inclusion and reconciliation. Freedom of expression and professionalization of the media is identified as a cross-cutting intervention in all targeted support. The global objective of this Call for Proposals is to contribute to respect of freedom of expression and successful implementation of EU media standards. The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is to enhance investigative reporting through support of quality media productions in the area of rule of law. 


Eligibility

In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicant must:
-be legal persons and
-Print, electronic, on-line media, news agencies and news services, media production houses or media associations and
-be established in  a Member State of the European Union or in a country covered by the Article 19 of the IPA Regulation  and
-be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
In case the applicant is a CSO not established  in Serbia, it must act with at least one co-applicant that is established in Serbia.
The potential applicant may not participate in calls for proposals or be awarded grants if it is in any of the situations listed in Section 2.3.3 of the Practical Guide.
