Duties and responsibilities

Under the supervision and tutoring of the IT Associate the specific duties and responsibilities of intern will include, but may not be limited to:

-Assistance in updating IT system inventory
-Assistance in basic User ICT support and User support in use of mobile appliances
-Providing assistance in end user IT infrastructure set up , upgrade and monitoring
-End user advance Microsoft Office applications support
-Working with his/her supervisor on Microsoft Share Point portal sites developing and upgrade
-Technical assistance during various conferences (Video conferences teleconference etc.)
-Assistance in set up Cisco equipment


Required skills and experience

- University Graduate degree and enrollment in postgraduate Master degree programme in an Information Technology related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A well organized individual with the ability to multitask;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the UN, and of UNDP in particular, and have a personal commitment to UNDP's Statement of Purpose and to the ideals of UN Charter;
- Have a demonstrated the ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views;
- Advance computer literate in standard Microsoft office applications;
- Language Proficiency in both written and oral English;
