Duties and Responsibilities
Deliverables/ Outputs - Estimated Duration to Complete Target Due Dates - Review and Approvals Required:
- Stakeholder analysis based on the key partner and relevant national institutions consultations (4 days 30 Sept 2013)Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Analysis of the current environmental legislation and development of a specified criteria for IPPC (4 days 30 Sept 2013)Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Number of field visits to mines, industrial dumpsites and mines with flotation conducted including the field report (2 days 30 Sept 2013)Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Analysis of the environmental technology in active mines with flotation (2 days 31 Oct 2013)Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Proposal for the systematization of environmental documents, including both the archive and the current documents (3 days 31 Oct 2013) Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Identification of the environmental projects in mines with flotation in Mitrovica and Artana, and delivery of the draft concept notes ( 5 days 30 Nov 2013) Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy;
- Support to the DPEP in preparation of their annual work plan, and proposal of the models for the restructuring of the department (5 days 30 Nov 2013)Programme Analyst/ IG Environment and Energy.
Deliverables/ Final Products Expected:
- Conducts consultations with the key partners and the relevant national institutions;
- Analyses the current environmental legislation and specifies criteria for IPPC;
- Analyses environmental technology in active mines with flotation;
- Proposes systematization of the environmental documents, including both the archive and the current documents;
- Conducts field visits to mines, industrial dumpsites and mines with flotation;
- Identifies environmental projects in mines with flotation in Mitrovica and Artana, and presents draft concept notes;
- Provides support to the DPEP in preparation of their annual work plan, and proposed models for the restructuring of the department.
Required Skills and Experience
- Master degree in an environmental, engineering or science field relevant to the environmental monitoring and site assessment for mining and contaminated sites.
- At least 5 years working experience in the fields related to the industrial waste and waste water treatment, remediation of heavy metal industrial pollution sites;
- Expertise in the preparation and presentation of technical information, feasibility studies, reports and recommendations;
- Excellent experience/knowledge in the field of application of environmental monitoring and field surveillance for a range of industrial, mining and contaminated sites and purposes;
- Experience in the policy development process associated with environment, climate change and sustainable development.
- Proficiency in English language.
