EU FUNDED PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT TO THE NEW COMPUTERIZED TRANSIT SYSTEM (NCTS) IMPLEMENTATION/ SENIOR SHORT-TERM EXPERT; COMMUNICATIONS AND COMPUTER NETWORKS EXPERT

Background

Under IPA 2008, as foreseen, upon completion of the project, the Customs Administration will have implemented the Customs Transit Control System in conformity with the Common Transit Convention (CTC), in order to assist in the control and management of the movement of goods by the electronic exchange of transaction information between CTC countries, and put in place the necessary organisational and procedural changes in order to operate the systems effectively and efficiently. The main objective of the project is to support the adaptation of Trans-European transit procedure in the Customs Administration. A big role in overall project is implementation of the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) application in the Customs Administration. The purpose of the project is to provide management support and quality assurance for the overall project. Short-term Expert in Communications and Computer Networks Expert expertise will contribute the main objective by analysing and giving recommendations for the necessary communication environment (CCN/CSI) and establishment of named communication environment for NCTS Implementation Project.

Eligibility

- Bachelor degree in Information and Communication technologies and/or Computer Networks
- Masters degree will be considered as an advantage.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, Macedonian language is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of professional working experience in areas of communications and computer networks.

Requested services

- Work closely with Experts from AAM and the Customs Administration in evaluating progress of the production and implementation of the IT
  communication environment;
- Work closely with Experts from AAM and the Customs Administration in evaluating the preparation of the IT communication environment of
  the NCTS system;
- Support  in evaluation and testing activities of the necessary communication of the NCTS application.
