These Guidelines are intended to be used by those applying for grants under the 3rd Call for Proposals for the Cross-border Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro, 2007-2013. This programme is the result of a joint planning effort by the governments and other stakeholders of the two countries. The Cross-border Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro analyses the socio-economic situation of the border region, sets out a common strategy for remedying problems identified and formulates joint priorities and measures for development.
The Cross-border Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro is supported under the Cross-border Cooperation Component (Component II) of the EU “Instrument for Pre-Accession” (IPA), under which € 3.51 million have been allocated for the period 2011-2013.
Size of grants
Any grant requested under this Call for Proposals must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts as shown below:
Measure 1.1: “Cross-border economic development initiatives with an emphasis on tourism and rural development”
- max. amount: EUR 500.000
- min. amount: EUR 200.000
Measure 1.2: “Environmental development initiatives mainly for protection, promotion and management of natural resources”
- max. amount: EUR 500.000
- min. amount: EUR 200.000
Measure 1.3: “Social cohesion and cultural exchange through institutional and people-to-people interventions”
- max. amount: EUR 200.000
- min. amount: EUR 130.000
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the applicants must:
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, local/cantonal/entity/states
authorities...
- be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina when applying for funds assigned to Bosnia and Herzegovina or in Montenegro when applying
for funds assigned to Montenegro at least 12 months before the publication of this call
be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as
an intermediary
