Description


The UNDP Kosovo Programme Action Plan (2011-2015) has three programme components: 1) Inclusive Growth (with focus on vulnerable groups and based on a social inclusion approach), 2) Governance (with focus on justice, security, human rights, accountability of public administration institutions and fighting corruption) and 3) Environmental Sustainability (with focus on integrated management of natural resources and support to a climate change agenda in Kosovo). The UNDP office in Kosovo has a programme team working on the governance programme component, a second programme team covering the remaining two programme components, and a third programme team covering cross-cutting topics of policy, research and advocacy, gender and communication.

Responsibilities

   - Strategic development of the UNDP Kosovo Programme activities from programme design through implementation
   - Management of assigned UNDP Kosovo programme components and supervision of the team
   - Strategic partnerships and support to resource mobilization
   - Provision of top quality policy advice services to the Government and facilitation of knowledge building and management

Requirements


   - Master's Degree or equivalent in development studies/development management, Economics, Social Sciences or related field.
   - 5 years of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management advisory services, hands-on
   - Experience in design, monitoring and evaluation of development projects and establishing inter-relationships among international
     organization and national governments.
   - Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages, experience in handling of web based management systems.<br /> -
   - Fluency in the English, Albanian and Serbian languages.
