2ND ANNUAL FORUM OF THE EU STRATEGY FOR THE DANUBE REGION

Description

The Second Annual Forum of EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) will take place in Bucharest, Romania on 28-29 October 2013. The Forum is jointly organised by the European Commission and the Government of Romania. This follows the first Annual Forum organised in Regensburg (Bavaria, Germany) in November 2012. The subject of the Forum was "How can the Danube Region help to have a more competitive Europe" and it encouraged a reflection on the potential contribution of the macro-regional perspective to Europe's growth. It attracted more than 600 participants, including German Chancellor Merkel and Ministers of several countries in the Danube Region.

The title of this year's Forum will be "Danube Region - stronger together, stronger in the world" and it will encourage a debate on how the Strategy is helping to tackle joint challenges and how this is having an influence in striving competitiveness.
