SENIOR EXPERT – ANIMAL HEALTH AND WELFARE

Objectives

The global objective is to strengthen the Veterinary Service in order to improve animal health in Montenegro, with the consequent impact on human health.

The specific objective is to strengthen the capacity of the Veterinary Service by the harmonization of legislation with EU acquis and by its implementation in the areas of animal health and welfare, identification and registration of animals, import requirements for live animals and animal products and the use of veterinary medicinal products.


Requirements

  - University degree in veterinary science or at least 15 years of professional experience in areas associated with this contract;
  - Excellent spoken and written English;
  - Computer literate.
  - Knowledge of animal behaviour and animal welfare controls.
  - 8 years of professional experience in the veterinary sector in the EU
  - Experience of the preparation of contingency plans, of disease monitoring programmes and of disease control and eradication campaigns
