Responsibilities

  - Manages directly the Organized Crime Section and supervises 10 staff
  - Recommends courses of action and activities for the department in the field of combating organized crime
  - Advises Kosovo Police on matters related to transnational threat and combating organized crime, reviewing and commenting on legislation and related policies
  - Maintains awareness of the security sector development process in Kosovo and the region
  - Ensures the effective flow of information between other relevant actors within the field of internal security sector development and the OSCE, together with other contributors identified
  - Provides assistance on developing criminal intelligence strategy to deal with organized crime and combat transnational crime


Requirements

  - Graduation from a recognized police training school
  - Negotiating and interpersonal skills
  - Ability to read and utilise maps
  - Ability to perform first aid
  - Regular, active police service experience
  - Very good oral and written English communication skills
  - Minimum 10 years of diversified and progressively responsible police experience including at least 12 months at management level relevant to the actual post
  - Proven experience in training and management, preferably within a post-conflict environment
  - Proven experience in supervising organized crime investigations and programmes implementation
  - Proven experience in project management (planning, designing, budgeting, management, evaluation)
  - Strong analytical and drafting skills as well as presentation skills
  - Ability to design, co-ordinate and implement developmental strategies/training plans and support in the field of policing
  - Knowledge and understanding of security sector reviews and their impacts
