EU INTERNSHIPS FOR YOUNG ROMA PROFESSIONALS

Description

The Making the Most of EU funds for Roma program (MtM) announces an open call for young professionals who want to improve their knowledge on EU integrations and expertise in the management of EU projects in the context of use of IPA funds. Internships will take place in the EU Delegation in Belgrade, the Regional Cooperation Council in Sarajevo and Kronauer Consulting in Sarajevo.

The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen the capacities of young professionals in order to improve implementation of Roma policies in the light of EU integrations, as well as to strengthen access and absorption of EU funds. Through intensive learning in dynamic environment young professionals will be able to acquire knowledge and new skills and tools that can be applicable in their further professional engagement.



Requirements


Candidates for all internships must have a university degree in European integration studies, International relations, social sciences, law, or related field; 1-3 years of experience in work with and on Roma; experience in working with government institutions and Roma NGOs; excellent oral and written communication in English, and languages in the region; and the ability to complete tasks in timely fashion with minimal supervision, both as individual and part of the team.

    -Motivation/cover letter: The letter should describe the applicant’s interest in this development program and specific objectives for the work in the host organization, the applicant’s skills and qualifications, and the added value s/he will contribute both to the hosting and sponsoring organizations as well in the future.
    -Curriculum Vitae (CV)
    -Letter of recommendation from (previous employer, education institution, recognized public individuals etc.)


Eligibility

Belgrade internship: Candidates must be of Roma origin and citizens of Serbia.

Sarajevo internships: Candidates must be of Roma origin and citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro or Serbia.
