Description
The project will mobilise services to provide technical, management, information and administrative support for WBIF structures including the Steering Committee, Project Financiers Group and the Secretariat as well as wider EC and IFI cooperation where appropriate. These services will support strategy and policy development, project identification and monitoring and communication in the key sectors of energy, environment, social issues, transport and private sector development as well as horizontal cross cutting issues.
The Policy and Strategy Coordinator will support research and analytical activities in the different sectors including cooperation with IFIs and regional sectoral organisations and development of capacity building activities for beneficiaries.
Requirements
- The candidate will have an academic background in socio-economic studies and development cooperation
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience
- Additional training/qualifications in infrastructure investment financing
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in socio-economic development and investment within regional, sectoral or international organisations.
- Specific work experience in development finance for investments in [transport, energy, environment and/or social] infrastructures, preferably in the Western Balkans or in a transition region;
- Familiarity with EC and IFIs procedures/requirements;
- Experience in investment analysis and financial markets functioning and mechanisms
- Understanding of issues linked to financing of investments in transport, environment, energy and social sectors
- Fluent written and spoken English
