Responsibilities
- Drafts all PSCOD reports for the Mission and Secretariat, including weekly, monthly, background, spot and annual reports
- Liaises with the Department's Units - Police Development Unit and Monitoring Unit - to collect inputs, background materials and other
relevant information for reporting purposes
- Researches, compiles and analyzes information concerning PSCOD activities and reports through the established reporting channels
- Prepares speaking points, briefing papers and similar documents
- Takes notes / provides minutes of meetings as assigned by the Head of Department
- Undertakes proof reading of various planning and reporting documents
- Drafts press releases and other public materials to promote the PSCOD's activities; reviews and suggests updates of the
Mission/Department's website
Requirements
- University education in international studies, public policy, political science or law or related fields
- Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience including minimum 1 year in a relevant field strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and experience in preparing reports
- Analytical experience at the fields of security, law enforcement, human rights, rights of minorities
- Political judgment and cultural sensitivity
- Experience in drafting press releases and other public materials for media purpose
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different
gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity
