The audit of the public sector and the establishment of the State Audit Institu­tion are part of the carefully designed strategy for reforming public finance and creat­ing an independent economic system of Montenegro. One of the main goals in the process of implementation of those reforms was to establish external state audit, with the aim to increase the efficiency, cost-effective use and transparency of the spend­ing of public funds.

Objective

To enhance effective and efficient management and use of public funds in Montenegro by strengthening audit capacity of the State Audit Institution

Eligibility

Only Public Administrations and Mandated bodies as per Twinning Manual of European Union Member States (MS) may apply through European Union MSs’ National Contact Points.

Maximum amount: 250,000 Euros
