OSCE MISSION IN KOSOVO/ SENIOR HUMAN RIGHTS OFFICER/HEAD OF REGIONAL OFFICE (VACANCY NUMBER: VNKOSS01561)

 
Responsibilities

  - Performs specific monitoring tasks in relation to community rights, property rights, non-discrimination issues and other human rights
    concerns as assigned
  - In-charge of the implementation of the monitoring instructions received from Headquarters
  - Drafts spot reports and compiles regular reports on activities of all the staff of the Department located in the Regional Office (RO)
  - Co-ordinates and co-operates closely with Field Co-ordination in the Headquarters to ensure fair utilization of capacities in the field
  - Facilitates the work of other professional and support staff of the Department in the RO in close co-operation with the Senior
    Democratization Officer
  - Assists and co-ordinates the implementation of projects in the field

Requirements

  - Advanced university degree in law, political science, international relations or other related fields
  - Minimum 6 years of relevant, diversified and progressively responsible professional experience including at least 3 years at the
    management level relevant to the actual position
  - Sound knowledge of international and regional human rights standards and community rights
  - Sound understanding of the main functional areas of the Mission's mandate
  - Proven experience in management of projects and budgets
  - Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  - Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  - Cultural sensitivity and judgment
  - Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills in English
