Background
Croatian Government founded the Port of Sibenik Authority (PSA) in 2004 and it has been entrusted with the responsibility for the maintenance, construction and management of port area in the port of Sibenik.
PSA is implementing Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project of the Vrulje Quay in the port of Sibenik that will build four berths with a total length of 510 meters, of which two berths with total length of 325 meters (sea depth is 10 m). Berths are intended to host cruise ships and ships in the international and local passenger and ro-ro passenger maritime traffic. Investment is worth EUR 12 million, and works are planned to finish in 2014.
As a part of the project, construction of the Maritime Passenger Terminal is planned, for services in domestic, international, and the cruise ships passenger traffic and transport of vehicles (total area of the Terminal Building is 6000m ²).
Responsibilities
- Financing, design and construction of the Terminal Building and the Garage, including procurement activities and taking steps, in
collaboration with PSA, to obtain the necessary authorisations and permits
- Marketing the ferry and cruise terminal, with a focus on the development of cruise and potential smaller home port activities
- Maintenance and daily running of the Terminal Building
- The Concessionaire shall take into account, on the basis of this concession, the needs of other public services necessary for the proper
functioning of the Terminal Building and supporting activities that will be detailed in the tender documents for awarding the concession.
