Background
European Management Solutions is in the process of identifying 1 expert for the EC tender ”Regional Project of Watershed and Coastal Management in the context of Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean (WATERCLIMA LAC) (EMS 6792)”.
Requirements
- The Coordinator shall be senior qualified development cooperation professional, with at least 10 years' experience in the relevant areas of the project, and with background in at least one of the following sectors: environment, economics, engineering, water and coastal field (governance, policies, etc.), climate change.
- Experience in assessing project proposals for the European Commission and policy oriented projects in developing countries will be highly considered.
- He/she should have demonstrated experience both in policy and project implementation in international cooperation.
- He/she should have a sound knowledge of policies and good understanding of the water field (including water resources and coastal management, coast and water policies and climate change issues) in the LAC region.
- He/she should have demonstrated experience as a coordinator in various projects, with proven experience in the management of teams of experts.
- The expert should be able to understand the interrelated socio-economic, political, institutional, legal, water and environmental challenges of the LAC region.
- Work experiences with the EU (projects, programmes) would be a distinct asset.
