Description
The National Assistance Program of the Instrument for Pre – Accession (IPA) in Serbia comprises policies which aim to enable all people in participating in social and economic life on the basis of equal rights, equity and dignity. The sector covers employment, labour market, education, social inclusion and health policies.Under these objectives the Roma Education Fund in consortium with the OSCE and the Serbian Ministry of Education are implementing a 2-year-long program. The program supports Roma students in high schools with mentoring and scholarship support. They are currently recruiting staff for three positions: Program Coordinator, Project Administrator and Local Coordinators from Serbia.
Requirements - Program Coordinator
- Minimum Bachelor level degree in relevant subject such as education, political science, social science, economics, law or public administration;
- At least five years’ demonstrated success in managing educational or Roma related projects. Experience in managing a non-governmental organization or in working for a government ministry will be an advantage;
- Experience at an operational level of designing and implementing international development projects in fields relevant to the project; prior experience in dealing with donor funded projects would be preferred;
- Knowledge of issues related to education of minorities in Central and Eastern Europe countries. Knowledge of Roma issues will be an advantage;
- Excellent English and Serbian language oral and written communication skills; Romanes will be an advantage
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team in various contexts.
- Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities.
